Day 1: Machame Gate (1,640m) → Machame Camp (3,010m)
Trekking Time: 5–7 hours
Zone: Rainforest
Begin your climb after registration at Machame Gate. Trek through dense rainforest filled with towering trees, moss-covered trails, and wildlife such as colobus monkeys. Overnight at Machame Camp, just above the forest zone.
Day 2: Machame Camp → Shira Camp (3,840m)
Trekking Time: 4–6 hours
Zone: Moorland
Ascend out of the forest into open moorland. Cross the scenic Shira Plateau, offering panoramic views of Mount Meru and Kibo Peak. Overnight at Shira Camp, surrounded by vast alpine landscapes.
Day 3: Shira Camp → Lava Tower (4,630m) → Barranco Camp (3,976m)
