Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Machame Gate (1,800 m) → Machame Camp (2,835 m)
After breakfast and briefing in Moshi, drive to Machame Gate for registration. Trek through lush montane forest while spotting blue monkeys and native birds.

Day 2 – Machame Camp → Shira Cave Camp (3,750 m)
A steady climb takes you above the tree line into moorland. Enjoy panoramic views of the Shira Plateau and Mount Meru.

Day 3 – Shira Cave → Lava Tower (4,630 m) → Barranco Camp (3,960 m)
Climb high to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp surrounded by the giant lobelia and senecio plants.

Day 4 – Barranco Camp → Karanga Camp (3,995 m)
Conquer the Barranco Wall — a thrilling scramble with rewarding views — and hike through valleys before reaching Karanga Camp.

Day 5 – Karanga Camp → Barafu Camp (4,673 m)
A short but steep trek to Barafu Camp, the final base before summit night. Prepare gear and rest early for the midnight ascent.

Day 6 – Barafu Camp → Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) → Mweka Camp (3,100 m)
